Russian Engineering Club Ltd. is one of the eldest Russian competitors on the laser medical equipment market. The company was founded on June 30, 1993. Specialists of the renowned KBP Instrument Design Bureau (City of Tula) within a framework of conversion programme have developed the LANCET laser surgical apparatus (LSA) that was highly evaluated in the circle of practicing doctors. However, KBP Instrument Design Bureau is the company of defence sector and is restricted to public access but selling the civil-line (and especially medical-purpose) products implies close contact with the customers. The most reasonable way out was the agency institution when a manufacturer hands over its products to a distributor and the distributing company sells, carries out training and render after sale services. Russian Engineering Club Ltd. won the right to be an official distributor.

Gradually, the company alongwith its responsibilities of exclusive KBP agent and using the feedback from the doctors’ side started developing of additional instruments (changeable attachments, adapters, scanners, smoke exhaust system) for the LANCET-type LSA that ensure its efficient use in various medical fields. Nowadays the company manufactures and sells 10 articles of additional equipment for the LANCET-type LSA.

In the process of the company development its interests moved forward to the area of development of the brand new medical equipment. The successful work in this area (development of the LASERMED-type diode lasers and photoepilation equipment) is ensured by close contacts with KBP Instrument Design Bureau, Institute for Problems of Laser and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Laser Medicine State Research Center of the RF Ministry of Health as well as by the serious financial support from the Federal Fund for Assistance in Development of Small-Scale Scientific and Technical Enterprises. Thanks to this support the company is able to carry out research and development work and to attract talented engineers with new scientific and technical ideas for their future implementation in commercially attractive products.

In 2001 it was decided to open medical sector that is why nowadays there is a tandem of two companies: Russian Engineering Club Ltd. (R&D sector – development, manufacture, selling and after-sale services of medical laser equipment) and Lasermed Ltd. (medical sector – health care with the use of the state-of-the-art technologies at the facilities of the L’Med Multifield Clinic of Laser Medicine www.l-med.ru) Thus, a cluster of laser medicine has been created in the City of Tula.

In 2007 activity of the Russian Engineering Club company was highly evaluated by the Government of Tula and Tula Region. We were acknowledged as the best company of Tula in the “Science” category and won the first prize in the Leader of Small-and-Medium Scale Business regional science and technology contest that served as a powerful incentive for future fruitful work.
